Ann Landers Meat Loaf

2 lbs. ground round
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
3/4 cup catsup
1/2 cup warm water
1 pkg. dried onion soup mix
8 oz. can tomato sauce
3 strips bacon
Mix all ingredients together thoroughly except tomato sauce and bacon. Shape into a loaf and put into loaf pan.  Cover with three strips bacon.  Pour tomato sauce over all.  Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

This is a famous meat loaf recipe published in many newspapers a number of times by advice columnist Ann Landers.  It's easy and good.  Her original recipe called for a teaspoon of Accent which is MSG, which enhances flavor, but many people are allergic to it.
