Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup butter (2 sticks), softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
2 tsps. baking soda
2 tsps. vanilla
2 beaten eggs
2 ½ cups flour (not sifted)
2 cups crushed corn flakes (just crush them with your hands) (or in the alternative, add another 1/2 cup flour)
1 tsp. flaky sea salt
1 to 2 cups chocolate chips

Cream together butter and  sugars. Add vanilla, and beaten eggs. Mix well. Then add flour and soda and stir it in. Add crushed corn flakes and chocolate chips and mix it all thoroughly.

Form dough into balks, using 2-3 tablespoons of dough, flatten slightly and place on a greased cookie sheet, 8 to 10 to a standard sheet as they will spread while baking.  Sprinkle with sea salt.  

Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes until barely brown.  Cool on cookie sheet for five minutes then remove to a wire rack until completely cool.

These are really good and crisp.
