Chocolate Chip Walnut Pie

1 stick butter, melted
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup corn starch
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla. 
1 (12 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 to 2 cups walnuts (or pecans)
2 unbaked pie shells

Combine first five ingredients.  Mix well.  Stir in chips and nuts.  Pour into pie crusts.  Bake on bottom shelf of oven 30 minutes at 375 degrees until filling is firm.

A pair of these rich and chocolatey pies is Michael’s frequent contribution to family holiday dinners.
