Cream Cheese Pound Cake

1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
3 cups sugar
3 cups flour
6 eggs
1 Tbsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.  Add cream cheese beat until incorporated. Add eggs alternately with flour.  Add vanilla and salt.  Beat well.  Pour into well greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.  Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.  Reduce heat to 300 degrees and bake for 1 1/4 hours until long pick inserted comes out clean.  No peeking until end of cooking time or the cake may fall.  Cool in pan.
