Add enough water to moisten. Boil until it threads. Pour this syrup over
7 egg yolks, beaten (reserve whites)
Beat for 5 minutes. To this add
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla.
7 egg whites, beaten to soft peaks
1 cup cake flour
Bake in a greased angel food tube pan, in a moderate oven (about 350 degrees) for 45 minutes.
