1 quart (4 cups) pecans
1/3 cup salt
Place pecans in a quart jar. Pour the salt over the pecans. Fill with water. Shake jar and allow to soak 30 minutes. Drain in a colander 2 hours, but don't stir. Place on a baking sheet and cook for 1 hour at 275 degrees. They will be very crisp with just the right amount of salt. Use with soups and salads.
