1 tsp. Crisco
1 pint large strawberries with stems, washed and chilled
Melt chocolate chips
and shortening in double boiler over hot, not boiling, water Or microwave until chips are almost melted. Stir until smooth. Holding each berry by the stem, dip 2/3 of the way into the
chocolate mixture. Shake gently to
remove excess chocolate. Place dipped
berries on wax-paper-covered plate or tray, stem side down. Allow to harden. This is enough to dip approximately 12
strawberries.
