1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp. grated onion
1/4 tsp. each pepper and sage
1/8 tsp. thyme
Rinse wild rice
thoroughly in running water. Cover with
water and bring to a boil. Drain and
rinse. Cover with water again. Add salt and simmer until tender, about 30
minutes. Drain and rinse in hot
water. Add remaining ingredients and mix
thoroughly.
This is my mother-in-law Victoria Piotrowski's recipe. I can remember visiting Grandma and Grandpa Piotrowski and going to the attic. Stored along with the bear skins and baking equipment was a five gallon bucket of wild rice.
